Yesterday our country was able to witness the successful launch of Falcon 9, a product and project from SpaceX. You can quickly and easily access the information from their website.
Being a huge fan of private enterprise and investment, I have to say that SpaceX is an incredibly exciting aspect of the United States – the reason is that we have some of the greatest minds on the planet working to get more into and out of space exploration. The incentive? Profits, happy customers, and successful defense.
From their company website: “SpaceX aims to change this paradigm by developing a family of launch vehicles which will ultimately reduce the cost and increase the reliability of space access by a factor of ten. Coupled with the newly emerging market for private and commercial space transport, this new model will re-ignite humanity’s efforts to explore and develop Space.”
How exciting! How wonderful to have a private company working on space travel and exploration, and how enlivening to know that now I, as a consumer and investor, can play a part in this because it is a part of our free market where anybody can play.
